Originally from Pittsburgh, Bernie was educated at LaSalle University and had a long career, first as an English teacher and later in publishing and printing in the Philadelphia area. Bernie started Cape Publishing, Inc. in 1995 when he acquired the domain CapeMay.com.

Kate is a writer and has been a contributor since 2012 and Editor since 2014. A Pennsylvania native, she has been living in Cape May full-time for 23 years with her two kids and a cat named Steve. She still can’t believe she reads and writes for a living.

A writer and artist, she originally hails from the midwest but does not miss the snow. Elder millennial. Tea enthusiast. UMich alum. Dog parent. Has been with Cape Publishing for 20 years.

Jess is a Cape May native. Despite her best efforts to move to a city, she kept hearing the ocean’s call and made her way home time and time again. Grateful to be raising two kids here, appreciating the natural beauty, and working with local businesses to showcase their community contributions.

Michelle is our staff photographer. She was born and raised in South Jersey, and as a child she would visit Cape May with her grandparents on day trips to Sunset Beach.
