Muller Family Chestnut Dressing

The difference between dressing and stuffing is how it’s baked. In the bird, it’s stuffing; in a dish, it’s dressing.
Gather these ingredients

slices
stale bread, soaked in milk then squeezed dry and crumbled
½
tsp.
nutmeg
1
Tbsp.
chopped fresh thyme
2
eggs, beaten
2
tsp.
chopped parsley
½
cup
chicken broth
1
lb.
ground pork
1
onion, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
1
lb.
shelled, chopped chestnuts
Instructions
In a sauté pan, brown pork with onions.
Mix in remaining ingredients, adding the bread last.
Bake in a greased casserole dish, covered at 375 degrees for 35 minutes, then uncovered for 10 minutes.
Serve with turkey.
